Welcome

I’ve been travelling the world as a One Man Band since 1980. Over 50 countries  and still counting.

If you are interested in where my road has led me, have a look at my detailed biography or look into my photo collection.

As a busker, I`ve gathered a wide range of repertoire, from finger-picked Country Blues on my National Resonator Guitar to my “folky” interpretations of classic songs of the 60`s and 70`s and contemporary pop songs.

Gee Gee style of course, which means always accompanied by simultaneously played instruments like guitar, harmonica, bass drum, snare, hi-hat and vocals.

I travel as a freewheeling musician and when I’m busking I don’t make too many plans but let spontainity and intuition often decide where to play next. But the general outline seems to be that I tour middle and central Europe in spring and fall, Scandinavia in summer and the rest of the world in winter, preferably where there is no winter.

In summer I can be seen with my 1990 born daughter Soluna Samay, who occasionally adds  her outstanding bass and vocal skills to my act.

To find out where I might be, have a look in my news blog.  Thanks for your visit!

Baby One More Time…

Yes, summer has come after a nice busking spring in Paris, where I hadn’t played since 1982 (!). I am now on the road going north and will meet up with Soluna in Denmark and the head up to Norway soon after. If you are interested what we have been up to musically check out the new edition of our “Best of” collection that features 3 new cover songs, as well as my new album “Songster’s Paradise” where Soluna also joins in on a few songs. You can soon listen to the songs on iTunes if you click on the link under each album in the “music” menu.
Other than that there is a chance that we will be busking at the Tønder Folk Festival in Denmark this year in late August and we are confirmed to once again participate at the Stramu busker festival in Würzburg first at the week end of September this year.
Have a good summer everybody and hopefully see you out there sooner or later.
